We are recruiting for a company that specialise in the supply and maintenance of quality branded safety equipment, sourced from the best manufacturers across the globe. Catering to countless nationwide sectors (including construction, chemical and emergency services).

They have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join their fast paced and diverse team and help grow the Fixed Gas Detection side of the business. You will need experience in Fire alarm systems (technical Knowledge) and need to be able to survey a room and understand how much cabling and parts are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Sell to existing and potential direct accounts whilst providing sales support to distribution partners to participate in closing orders, or to facilitate and add value to the selling process.
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company's relationship with them.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Plan to ensure achievement of divisional and personal targets, aligning with company sales policies and strategies.
  • Continually develop knowledge of the business climate, applications and competition for his/her defined geography and accounts.
  • Continually assess current business distribution channels, develop, and evaluate their performance and manage conflict ensuring alignment with territory plans.
  • Forecast sales in advance and share requirements to achieve agreed targets.

Requirements:

  • Working industry knowledge of the Gas Detection market in the UK.
  • A high standard of spoken and written English.
  • IT literate with accurate keyboard skills.
  • An excellent eye for detail, with good written communication skills, spelling, grammar & punctuation.
  • Great listening skills.
  • Enthusiastic & positive team member.
  • Desire to succeed and progress within our organisation.
