Job Opportunity: Fleet Mechanic- Keep Us Moving!

Location: Chelmsford (Workshop based)

Work Pattern: Weekdays/Weekends

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Marlborough Highways is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Fleet Mechanic to join our team! You’ll be at the heart of keeping our fleet in peak condition, ensuring our projects across Essex and London run smoothly.

What You'll Be doing:

• Perform scheduled maintenance and those unexpected repairs that keep things exciting.
• Focusing your time in our workshop as part of team conquering the challenges of the day.
• Keep accurate records using our in-house electronic system (because a well-documented fleet is a happy fleet).
• Carry out vehicle maintenance that meets VOSA standards.
• Gearing up our vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
• Diagnose and solve problems using diagnostic equipment like a pro.
• Become a Health & Safety hero

What We’re Looking For:

• A qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance (a nice-to-have but not a deal-breaker).
• Solid experience in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance - you’re a hands-on expert.
• A knack for diagnosing and fixing faults with confidence.
• Full UK driving license (must-have).
• HGV license (great to have, but not essential).
• Experience with plant mechanics (extra points!).
