A busy flower shop in the centre of Faversham is looking for a full-time Florist.

The role will start on a contract basis with a view to moving to a permanent position once we are confident that the candidate is the right fit. Looking for someone to come on board long term & grow with the business ??

Florist Hours

9 am to 5 pm, five days a week, including alternate Saturdays. Opportunities to work on events & weddings.

Essential

  • You will need to have previous experience working as a florist.

The Florist role

  • Passionate about creating beautiful arrangements,
  • Ability to create floral arrangements for various occasions, i.e. funerals, weddings and everyday flowers,
  • Confident with wedding consultations and translating customer's visions to paper (using our presentation template)
  • Maintain flowers to an exceptional standard, condition flowers, and organise the flower stand and shop,
  • Clean buckets and vases,
  • Processing customer orders and taking payments over the phone,
  • Maintain & Organise event stock
  • Good with the till and have basic maths for calculating bouquet's prices, etc,
  • Provide exceptional customer service,
  • Reliable & Punctual,
  • An empathetic & compassionate approach
  • You should be well-organised and able to work under pressure at times.

Nice to have

  • Social Media Experience
  • Experience with relay systems (IF, etc.)
  • Knowledge of plants and gardening
  • Experience with Dried & Artificial flowers

Florist Working Hours

5 days a week, including alternate Saturdays, with opportunities to work on events & weddings. We can be flexible with hours initially.

You will need to have previous experience working as a florist & be confident with the general public.
