Job Title: Forklift Truck (FLT) OperatorLocation: Gateshead

Job Description: My client is currently seeking an experienced Forklift Truck Operator to join their team in Gateshead. As an FLT Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to move materials, products, and equipment within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of items.
  • Inspect and maintain forklifts, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid FLT license (Counterbalance or Reach).
  • Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
  • Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
