Food Safety and Compliance Officer Location: London Salary: Competitive Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Talent Guardian is proud to be working with one of London’s premier events venues, hosting over 400 events and welcoming millions of visitors annually. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Food Safety and Compliance officer to uphold and advance the highest standards of compliance across all food and beverage operations.
The Role Reporting directly to the Head of Food and Beverage, you will take ownership of food safety compliance across retail units, commercial partnerships, kitchens, and events. This is a key role that combines operational oversight with strategic food safety leadership, ensuring full alignment with UK legislation and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all food and beverage partners meet legislative and food safety compliance standards.
Conduct regular food safety audits, inspections, and event audits across the venue.
Act as the main point of contact for all food safety matters, providing support to stakeholders.
Oversee external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Develop and maintain food safety policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
Experience in food safety audits and producing detailed reports.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
A deep understanding of local authority food hygiene inspections and the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
Expertise in food safety, allergen management, and health & safety legislation.
Minimum Level 4 Food Safety qualification with 3+ years in a senior food safety role.
Ideally, a qualified Environmental Health Officer with experience in both local government and private sector audits.
Experience in events or a similar fast-paced environment is desirable.
A proactive, client-facing, and adaptable professional with excellent communication skills.
