Food Technician – Greenwich

Milk Education are recruiting for a Food Technician for Secondary School in Greenwich to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible! This is a school, who prides itself on being happy and caring, with high standards of attainment and behaviour.

Food Technician Role & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and Setting Up: Arrange equipment, ingredients, and materials for food technology lessons.
  • Assisting in Practical Sessions: Support teachers during practical demonstrations and student activities.
  • Maintaining Hygiene Standards: Ensure cleanliness in food rooms and adhere to food hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Stock Management: Assist with ingredient purchasing for practical lessons.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain kitchen equipment.

Food Technician Non-negotiables:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (school or other setting).
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Passion for food and cooking.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
