Food Technologist / Quality Assurance

Our client based in Middlesex, is looking for a Food Technologist to join their team for a 12 month maternity contract.

Purpose of the role: To support compliance, product development and operational teams with technical and nutritional expertise. Must have a good understanding of label specifications as well as nutrition.

Main Responsibilities:

• To ensure that all information is provided to the customer timeously
• Ensure correct entry of data onto the system in terms of dietary requirements to ensure a safe and reasoned choice from the available menus
• Entering of data into nutrition software to calculate intake per meal/product
• Supplier approval in terms of and pre-packaged food
• Ensure labelling requirements are me
• Supplier liaison
• Internal procedures audits
• Attend meetings

Requirements:

• Food Science / Technology Degree
• Legal Labelling Certification: Food and drink labelling
• Relevant experience within the Food Industry
• Good communication skills
• Ability to provide coaching and training to the team
