We are seeking a Food Technology Teacher to join our vibrant and dynamic team. This role involves carrying out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the school’s policies under the direction of the Head Teacher. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food technology and committed to inspiring, motivating, and challenging all students.
Day to day of the role:- Plan and teach lessons that inspire, motivate, and challenge students of all backgrounds and abilities.
- Promote a love of learning and engage students’ curiosity.
- Provide appropriate pace, challenge, and support in structured lessons.
- Reflect systematically on the effectiveness of planning and teaching.
- Cater for students of different backgrounds and needs, including those with special educational needs.
- Use distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support students.
- Assess and record students’ attainment and progress, planning appropriate in-class interventions.
- Prepare and present informative reports to parents.
- Qualified to teach in the UK with a relevant degree or equivalent in Food Technology or a related subject.
- Experience in raising attainment in secondary school settings is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good understanding of assessment in Food Technology.
- Ability to create a safe and successful learning environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
