Food Technology Teacher - Bury - September start

Prospero Teaching is looking for a qualified Food Technology Teacher to join a 'good' secondary school in Bury on a full time basis from September until July 2025.

This position is open to ECTs or experienced teachers. It is essential that you have experience teaching Food Technology in a UK school.

You will be required to deliver excellent and engaging lessons to KS3 & KS4 pupils.

This school prides themselves on having strong positive connections between staff and students and use their core values to encourage students to achieve their dreams and full potential, for life beyond school.
They also regularly offer extra free training in school, CPD training is also taking place where all staff can get involved.

Food Technology Teacher Information:

The position is open to both Food Technology ECTs and experienced Food Technology teachers.
You will be joining a successful, well-structured department.
This school offer a range of professional development opportunities.
Food Technology is taught to all year groups from 7 till 11.
The school is accessible by regular bus services and has a large car park available on site.

Hours 8:15am 4pm, plus parents evenings & departmental meetings

Food Technology Teacher Experience, Training and Qualification:

QTS or equivalent
PGCE / SCITT / GTP / B.Ed
Experience teaching Food Technology in a UK school
Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, however training provided by Prospero)
Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, however, training is provided by Prospero)
FGM training (essential, however training can be provided)
Hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service, or, be willing to obtain a new DBS.
Food Technology degree
