tvm-parent-container">This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The Service Manager will oversee a team of skilled engineers, manage service schedules, and ensure that all customer needs are met promptly and professionally.

The main day to day duties of a Service Manager (but not limited to) are: -

Customers

  • Daily relationship management including customer visits and meetings as and when required - keeping customers informed and build relationships, site visits will include site inspections and tool box talks with engineers if required
  • KPI monitoring for customers, - producing reports of information for customers, monitoring and acting upon problems arising so service levels can be maintained

Branch

  • Answering of customer service telephone calls, dealing with queries, arranging breakdowns/service bookings, new or existing customers
  • Arranging short term hires, all aspects from truck preparation, raising hire contract and organising transport

Engineers

  • Efficient planning of engineers to ensure swiftest response times achieved
  • Management of engineer performance
  • Providing required support to engineers
  • Develop skill base of engineers
  • Checking of time sheets
  • Authorising of overtime
  • Approval of holiday requests ensuring sufficient business cover at all times
  • Ensure morale is kept high, a happy workforce is a profitable workforce
