FP&A Analyst

Salary up to £40,000

Hybrid role (3 days per week in the office)

London based

Permanent, full-time role

Cedar have partnered with a London based Accountancy practice who are looking for a talented FP&A Analyst to become a crucial part of their thriving finance team.

The successful FP&A Analyst will work closely with the FP&A Manager and Director, partnering with revenue-generating departments and business support functions to provide comprehensive financial support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasting models, ensuring accurate financial forecasts.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with Heads of Departments to understand key performance indicators and drivers of variances to targets.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to the CFO and Senior Leadership, providing clear insights into departmental progress.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse monthly management information and offer actionable insights to help the firm meet its goals.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the development of reporting tools in Tableau and Excel to enhance financial data analysis.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Provide additional analysis for Heads of Department and Senior Leadership as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or a relevant degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Planning Analytics / Tableau as an advantage.
  • Experience: Background in a medium/large standalone business or a similar role in a division of a larger organisation. Knowledge of the professional services industry and FP&A functions is preferred but not essential.
  • Personal Attributes: Attention to detail, methodical approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
