Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a well-established telecoms manufacturer based in Salisbury, which is now seeking an FPGA Engineer to join their proficient team specialising in FPGA Critical Solutions.

You’ll be responsible for developing intricate FPGA designs and refining custom FPGA IP cores in VHDL. This entails engaging in simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and hardware testing. Your role involves contributing to both novel designs and the implementation of additional features and improvements for existing products. Regular participation in code reviews and close collaboration with various departments is expected to ensure the delivery of functional solutions. This position offers hands-on experience across a diverse array of products incorporating cutting-edge technologies.

Key skills required for this FPGA Engineer Job:

• Proficiency in VHDL and Python.

• Possession of a relevant degree, such as engineering with a focus on digital design, or equivalent industry expertise.

• Capability to produce well-structured design documentation.

• Familiarity with diverse operating systems, including UNIX and Windows.

• Knowledge of firmware testing methodologies.

The salary for this position of FPGA Engineer will be circa £50,000 per annum depending on experience.
