Salt is working with a global leader in the beverage industry, currently undergoing a global transformation across all areas of the business. We're seeking a freelance Global Category Manager with strong experience in Logistics and Warehouse to help develop long-term integrated category strategies focusing on cost, performance, and sustainability.

  • Hybrid working in London (not negotiable)
  • Duration until the end of the year
  • £465 per day, inside IR35

About the role:

    • Strategic sourcing and performance delivery in logistics (transport, warehousing, ocean freight)
    • Member of the Global Supply Leadership Team
    • Direct accountability for Ocean Freight, overseeing an annual spend of USD 150 million
    • Managing an annual spend of GBP 1 billion with a global team
    • Develop long-term, integrated category strategies focusing on cost, performance, and sustainability
    • Engage and influence senior stakeholders to support strategic outcomes
    • Benchmark strategies against best practices and manage business risks

You will need:

  • knowledge in logistics and ocean freight procurement.
  • Minimum of ten years in procurement with increasing responsibility, ideally in an international setting
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and business acumen
  • Proven capability in global sourcing and managing diverse teams, with a focus on inclusion
