Location: North London - candidates must live within easy commuting distance of Golders Green for regular meetings and catch ups
Hours: To be agreed project by project depending on business demands.
I run a boutique HR Consultancy dedicated to helping businesses get the best from their staff and individuals achieve their potential in the workplace. Since 2016 we have helped small to medium sized organisations with all their HR and operations needs, and work with a range of start ups, SMEs, creative businesses and charities.
The business is rapidly evolving and I am now looking for support from someone who has worked at HR Adviser level or above, and is looking for some extra hours’ work from time to time.
Typical tasks might include:
- Shortlisting and screening applicants to roles
- Developing and updating HR policies
- Issuing contracts and paperwork
- Liaising with universities and colleges to source graduates
Initially, the commitment is likely to be 2-3 hours a week when things are hectic and could be worked extremely flexibly. Longer term if a candidate wished to take on a more client facing, advisory role there would be scope to explore this and work additional hours.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of in-house HR in a stand-alone or small team environment
- At least two years’ experience of offering HR advice to managers and employees
- CIPD qualification
- Experience of fast paced recruitment, and a good understanding of sourcing and managing candidates
- The ability to work autonomously and organise their own time
Additional desirable attributes include:
- Experience of HR in creative businesses or charities
- Experience of managing a team or members of staff
- Degree level education in a relevant subject
Required skills
- Recruiting
- Recruitment Process
- HR Policies
