Job Title: Ocean Freight Forwarder
Location: Liverpool City Centre - Hybrid Working available
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Freight Forwarder to join our client's dynamic team in Liverpool city centre. The successful candidate will focus on managing and coordinating ocean freight export operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage ocean freight export shipments from origin to destination
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, export declarations, and customs paperwork
- Liaise with shipping lines, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth and efficient transportation
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to clients
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to optimise costs
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process
Requirements:
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on ocean freight exports
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
