Our client, a dynamic player in the Shiping industry, is currently seeking a talented Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join their team. This permanent role is focused on business development and sales, integral to supporting significant growth plans and expanding the client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be at the forefront of the company's development by promoting the business to new and existing clients.
  • Develop, promote, and maintain long-term business relationships with a growing portfolio of international clients.
  • Meet clients face-to-face to build relationships and gain business.
  • Obtain relevant information from customers to complete quotations and supply the best possible solutions.
  • Report to the Freight Manager with feedback on rates or services required and produce quotations from the system.
  • Follow up on quotes with clients and agents and secure bookings.
  • Provide accurate information to internal operations staff to ensure efficient administration.
  • Support export and import processes and cover for export/import teams during holidays and absences.
  • Maintain accurate records of all customs-related documents and transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and suppliers regarding customs requirements and procedures.
  • Provide assistance throughout the business as and when required.
  • Answer phones as necessary.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience in sales, ideally within the Freight Forwarding industry, with a proven track record of bringing in new business and developing existing relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a professional approach and the drive to be successful in gaining new business.
  • Can-do attitude, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and strong administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience using Freight Management Systems (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Knowledge of sea freight is an advantage.
