Freight Operations Coordinator

Do you have freight forwarding experience & looking for your next role Are you looking to join a well-established logistics company in which you can progress your career as they expand further Then this could be the role for you.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing shipments from start to finish. Predominantly import sea freight, but you will also have the opportunity to handle export shipments, air & road.

You will be responsible for raising new job files, collating shipping documentation, arranging collections, booking with carriers, ensuring Customs formalities are adhered to and above all provide an experience customer service.

Our client appreciates that candidates may need some training in certain areas they have not covered before, which they are happy to provide.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous freight forwarding experience
• Familiar with shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading
• Good customer services skills
• Good IT knowledge

Desirable Criteria:

• Transport experience

About the Company:

Our client is a well-established SME freight forwarder, local in Hedge End. Hours Monday to Friday, 9-5:30

Salary & Benefits:

Our client is looking to pay a competitive salary for the right candidate in the region of £35K, depending on experience. No formal dress code, team lunch every Friday.
