We are currently working with a huge Logistics company based in Trafford Park. They have an exciting opportunity for a Freight Operations Executive to join their team on a 8 month maternity cover with a chance of going permanent.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 12pm - 9pm with a 60 minute lunch break.

Key Duties:

Reporting to the National Operations Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Updating collection and delivery status in timely manner
  • Contacting haulers to provide quotations for special collections and deliveries
  • Responsible for dealing with transport queries and liaising with other depots
  • Dealing with queries from customers, subcontractors and drivers by phone and email
  • Transport planning for same day collections
  • Any other administrative duties

Profile:

  • Ability to use Freight management systems
  • Team player
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Beneficial to have experience within a similar role
