I am recruiting for a Freight Sales Coordinator role for a growing business in Redditch. With an extensive existing customer base they offer a reliable cost effective freight, distribution and warehousing service. This is an office based role in Redditch working as a Freight Sales Coordinator supporting the sales team in managing and expanding their customer base.

Freight Sales Coordinator key duties include:-

  • Contacting lapsed clients and new potential customers to introduce the full range of transport and logistics services offered
  • Booking appointments from leads generated by the sales team.
  • Dealing with any customer queries, either by telephone or email.
  • Dealing with any problems that require escalation.
  • Quoting customer rates on any of the core services that the company offer and following up for feedback.
  • Producing weekly job figures for bookers and non-bookers.
  • Covering emails for the Sales Managers while they are out of the office.
  • General admin via emails

The successful Freight Sales Coordinator will have the following skills and experience:-

  • Experience working within freight ideally sales or customer service
  • Attention to detail and strong administrative skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Previous experience in a sales or customer service role is preferred
  • Knowledge of the logistics industry is a distinct advantage

In return you will receive a basic salary of between £25,000-£32,000- depending on your skills and experience. If you previously worked as an internal sales or sales administration within a freight/ transport company then that would give you a distinct advantage in your application for this role.
