French Teacher

Desborough College in Maidenhead is inviting applications for a Temporary Teacher of French. This full-time role is set to begin in September 2024 and is initially for one term, with the possibility of extension based on performance. Candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are preferred, but those with relevant experience and a passion for teaching French may also be considered.
Day-to-day of the role:- Delivering French lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Preparing engaging lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Assessing student progress, providing feedback, and preparing students for exams.
- Managing classroom behaviour to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to the school’s language curriculum.
- Engaging in continuous professional development and sharing best practices with colleagues.
- A degree in French or a related subject.
- QTS is preferred, but not essential for candidates with relevant teaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of the French curriculum for KS3-5.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
