Front Desk Assistant required by a leading furniture provider based in central London. You will be the “face” of the company for all visitors and will be responsible for the first impression they make.  Operating as part of the Facilities team, you will be responsible for the presentation of the showroom and reception. Assist with the day-to-day office facilities and administrative tasks which are both scheduled and reactive to maintain the smooth running and quality service of the London showroom.

This is a full time permanent role, paying £26k per annum – this will be a fully office / on-site based role – based in the City of London (Farringdon / Clerkenwell).

Duties include:
  • Welcome customers and create a positive showroom atmosphere.
  • Act as the company's face, greet customers warmly and provide assistance when they call or enter the building.
  • Respond to any enquiries, give instructions, and notify staff when someone is coming to see or meet them.
  • Take messages and make sure they are promptly forwarded to the relevant staff member.
  • Manage the building log of who is entering and exiting the building.
  • Inform front building reception of all the visitors and record them on the system.
  • Ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and clutter-free.
  • Make sure the kitchen area is always maintained tidy and clean, and that the coffee machine is stocked, cleaned, and serviced on a regular basis.
  • Assist with moving furniture and set up the area for training sessions and events.
  • Provide catering and refreshments for any major events and clean up as soon as possible.
  • Maintain and arrange all brand finishes, update as needed.
  • Accept deliveries and mail, sort them so that the correct individuals receive them, and arrange for outgoing mail and parcels to be picked up.
  • To be customer focussed at all times, by being approachable and exceed expectations.
  • Build relationships with internal employees and other departments.
