Fund Accounting Oversight SME, Buy-side

Our client is a fast-growing asset manager specialising in global macro strategies, renowned for their unrivalled fund performance. With their offices globally, including their London location at the forefront of their expansion, they are seeking a highly experienced Fund Accounting SME Oversight role for the London office.

As the Fund Accounting Oversight specialist, you will leverage your fund accounting (NAV production and analysis) expertise to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the third-party fund administrator. Your strong multi-asset knowledge and experience in NAV & P&L analysis will be instrumental in reviewing, reconciling, and coordinating the production of daily, weekly, and monthly NAVs and P&L for a diverse range of funds with varying complexities and share classes. Additionally, you will be responsible for investigating and resolving valuation issues, price fluctuations, cash breaks, and trade capture discrepancies.

You will play a pivotal role in managing ad hoc queries from the external Fund Administrator. Additionally, you will contribute to the valuation sign-off process and have the opportunity to implement process improvements to enhance controls, particularly in relation to the monthly NAV process.

To be considered for this role, you will possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in Valuations/NAV analysis and will have a good understanding of global macro strategies. Your extensive operations/fund accounting background will be advantageous in streamlining and optimising fund accounting and NAV sign-off processes.

This standalone role will involve collaborating with a global fund accounting team and overseeing various fund administrators across different locations. Occasional travel may be required to foster collaboration with the wider Fund Accounting team and the external Fund Administrators.

Candidates will have a proven track record in fund accounting and possess prior experience in NAV and P&L analysis gained from an asset management firm or third-party administrator.
