Exciting opportunity for anyone with a background in Corporate Finance or Global Markets who enjoys helping Corporate clients to build strategies and find solutions to their needs.

Working within our Global Markets division this role sits within our Fixed Income & Currencies team liaising with our corporate clients to tailor solutions for the FX and Interest rate needs, primarily around derivative solutions.

You will be working closely with the Relationship Managers and other product teams to help clients with their specific needs, using your expertise and knowledge of the Money Markets to provide opinion and define future strategies.

You will need to be able to quickly build rapport and establish trust with a wide range of clients from multinationals to SME's, understand their situations, plans and needs to be able to deliver meaningful solutions.

This is an interesting role that requires a mix of advisory knowledge as well as an understanding of the broad range of products on offer within the Markets division. As well as day to day advice the role will also involve assisting clients with M&A transactions, looking at how deals will effect their rates and providing best possible solutions.

As a result, we welcome applications from a wide variety of backgrounds including: Corporate Finance, ECM, FX Markets Sales, or Structuring.

We are looking to hire someone at the Senior Analyst / Associate level with Banking / Markets experience who is eager to develop and learn more. We will provide guidance and training to further develop your knowledge and skills with the expectation that you will be running your own client meetings ASAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tailored analysis for corporate clients focusing on FX and interest rate risk management requiring good command of corporate finance considerations and market inputs
  • Suggest solutions to manage market risks which are innovative and best adapted to clients' needs factoring in current market conditions
  • Follow market trends and strategic moves for corporate clients across sectors to establish trends and best risk management practices
  • Hold meetings with clients to present the analysis performed and pitch any specific ideas which are relevant
  • Work closely with corporate finance teams (AFG, DCM, M&A, Coverage) as well as structurers, research and trading to ensure that all client corporate needs are covered and the appropriate hedging solutions are proposed
  • Work with other internal stakeholders not only to understand the clients' needs better, but also to help contribute to the overall relationship
  • Share information on market intelligence with other team members in the UK and abroad
  • Work on specific one-off transactions (M&A, new investments etc) with senior members of the team and develop impact with internal and external stakeholders


Profile required

Experience / Competencies Required

Allied to strong communication skills with an ability to build rapport, build trust an influence people while being a strong team-player and possessing a strong work ethic we are looking for someone with:
  • Experience dealing with corporate clients - this could be gained from a similar position in Global Markets Sales or Structuring or from a Corporate Finance Background
  • Good general knowledge of FX and Interest Rate products, especially derivatives
  • Awareness of what is happening in Global Markets with an ability to state your own opinions based on solid research
  • Strong mathematical skills - an ability to understand both complete mathematical concepts, but also perform mental arithmetic quickly and accurately
