Silver Swan is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Handyman/Gardener is needed to maintain several private properties in Chelsea. The ideal candidate will possess great initiative, flexibility, and a strong work ethic to manage the upkeep of large properties that include gardens, tennis courts, and a pool.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general gardening duties, ensuring all plants, lawns, and garden features are well-maintained
  • Jet Washing, Clean patios and outdoor surfaces to maintain a pristine appearance
  • Regular cleaning and maintenance of the tennis courts and pool to ensure they are in optimal condition
  • Clean windows as needed to maintain cleanliness and clear views
  • Handle small repairs around the property, including assembling furniture, hanging shelves and blinds, and performing small paint jobs
  • Install various household appliances efficiently and correctly
  • Address minor plumbing issues, such as unclogging drains and fixing leaks
  • Change lightbulbs, replace fuses, and ensure all electrical fixtures are functioning properly
  • Regularly check boilers and radiators to ensure they are in good working order
  • Conduct routine checks and maintenance to keep the properties in excellent condition
  • Meet with contractors on-site to oversee and coordinate any additional work required


Ideal candidate:

  • MUST have the right to live and work in the UK
  • Proven experience as a handyman or gardener
  • Experience in private households would be highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of gardening, pool maintenance, and general property upkeep
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Package:

  • Working week: Primarily Monday - Friday, with occasional weekend work as required
  • Start date: August 2024
  • Salary: £45k+
