RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Team overview:
Regulatory Controls Management Team (RCM) sits within Global Banking & Markets Operating Risk (GMOR) and manages both pre-trade and trade controls for certain regulatory obligations for Sales and Traders within the Global Banking & Markets (GBM) division. Managing the pre trade and trade controls for Sales and Trading includes control design, implementation, enhancements, and ongoing oversight to ensure regulatory risk in the division is appropriately managed.
Our team is leading a near term (1-2yr) implementation of a firmwide Management Information (MI) standards and tooling. This will require a detailed understanding of trade lifecycle, metrics framework and GBM's businesses, processes, technology, and its stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop requirements for Management Information (MI) review workflow to improve visibility and facilitate escalation to sales/trading supervisors
  • Perform functions to support implementation of MI tooling (UAT testing, training for desk supervisors, etc..)
  • Build relationships with Sales/Trading, Compliance, Risk, Operations and Engineering globally to design and improve MI tooling
  • Develop subject matter expertise on covered obligations, includes design pre-trade and trade business controls for new regulatory implementation, identify and implement enhancements to existing controls
  • Support regulatory obligation coverage to effectively investigate and remediate trading control issues that arise
  • Build relationships with Sales/Trading, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Engineering globally to design and improve business control workflows for new regulatory implementations
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives to streamline pre-trade and post-trade control design, workflows and processes across obligations
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience; Exposure to global markets businesses/products (both physicals and derivatives) and trade lifecycle with a focus on Sales & Trading workflows
  • Experience working with Sales/Trading, Engineering and Operations to define and clarify business requirements
  • Ability to translate and analyse data to perform root cause / trending / impact analysis to drive decision making
  • Experience with data blending and data visualization software such as Alteryx, Tableau, QlikView, Power BI, is desirable but not required
  • Familiarity with business decision modeling, user acceptance testing and regression testing, is desirable but not required
  • Strong time and project management/organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Keen to develop a career in global markets / investment banking working environment
