Location: West London
Work hours: 5 hours per week - Tuesday & Thursday 6.30pm to 9pm
Pay rate: £31/hr PAYE, (umbrella options available)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic GCSE Mathematics Tutor to join our Adult Education team and make a positive impact on the lives of adult learners.

Role Overview:

As a GCSE Mathematics Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics instruction to adult learners. Your role will involve planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing support to ensure all students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with our academic team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective GCSE Mathematics lessons tailored to the needs of adult learners.

- Assess, monitor, and record students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.

- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and success.

- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in continuous professional development activities.

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other administrative duties as required.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.

- A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

- Proven experience teaching GCSE Mathematics, preferably within an adult education setting.

- Strong understanding of the GCSE Mathematics curriculum and assessment requirements.

- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to motivate and engage adult learners, promoting a positive learning experience.

Desirable Attributes:

- Experience working within the public sector or a council setting.

- Knowledge of adult education principles and practices.

- Familiarity with educational technology and e-learning platforms.

- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
