General Foreman

Location – London - Twickenham

Rate – Competitive

I am currently recruiting for a General Foreman to work on a major water project based in the Twickenham area. The ideal candidate must have experience within the water industry.

GENERAL FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise works and control of a team comprising Gangers and direct labour force
  • Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client specifications and requirements are met
  • Reviewing progress and liaising with commercial team
  • Liaising with the client, other construction professionals
  • Coordinating and supervising construction workers
  • Selecting tools and materials
  • Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Maintaining quality control procedures
  • Ordering Plant and Materials
  • Collation of documents and As Built Records
  • Record Keeping and report writing
  • Client liaison and coordination/interface 

FOREMAN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working as General Foreman or Foreman
  • Previous experience on water projects such as waste water, Thames water, southern water etc.
  • Hold SMSTS/SSSTS
  • First Aid at Work, Fire Marshall, CSCS or equivalent
  • Experience working within the civils sector – involving earthworks, deep drainage and reinforced concrete construction
  • Previously worked with Tier 1 contractors
  • Have full right to work in the UK
