General Ledger Accountant Marseille

Language Matters has a new opportunity for a French speaking General Ledger Accountant / Comptable Général Interco to join an international organisation in South of France. The Intra-Group Accounting department is responsible for intra-group accounting processes and the coordination of intercompany operations.

In a complex, multi-system international environment, with more than 500 subsidiaries of diverse types, the Intra-Group Accountant must analyse and understand transactions between the Group's various entities.
This is a permanent position based in Marseille, South of France.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Within the accounting department, defining the Group's processes for intra-group operations and ensuring their proper application.
• With the support of the Financial Control department and shared service centers, coordinating the monthly interco reporting process according to the closing calendar.
• Ensuring the quality of the information produced and the compliance with the Group's rules and principles.
• In close collaboration with all accounting departments and the Consolidation department, ensuring the quality of intra-group declarations and recording corrective entries if necessary.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have Advanced education in Accounting, with good mastery of Excel and an aptitude for information systems. This role requires a good knowledge of information systems and effective communication with different accounting departments, other departments, and subsidiaries.

Profile:

• Native level of French and fluent English
• 3 to 5 years of experience in general accounting, ideally in an international group with complex intra-group flows.
• Master's degree in accounting/finance
• Advanced analytical and technical accounting skills
• High attention to detail
• IT proficient with good knowledge of Excel
