Harmonic are pleased to be working alongside one of the UK's most exciting and fast growth live music and event businesses, in the search for a General Manager to join a newly opened site in line with the rapid expansion of the company.

The Business:

Having been founded by music industry leading professionals in 2020, our client is a multi-faceted organisation in that their venues include a members club for musicians and content creators, combined with state of the art studios and cutting edge coworking / creative spaces. Home to an array of members including DJs, podcasters and musicians, the venue hosts both a fantastic recording studio along with a stylish in house bar / lounge.

With 3 sites opening in the last 3 years, the business is going from strength to strength and set to continue moving forward with revenue growing year on year. As such, it is an exciting time to join a values and culture led business that strive for the highest level of service for their members.

The Role:

Reporting into a fantastic Head of Operations who has helped to develop the business into having a strong industry presence, this role will be fast paced in nature and require the successful candidate to be able to work well under pressure, while building and maintaining rapport with their clientele.

The role will be responsible for managing operations, teams of sound engineers, bar staff and more, managing private events and contributing to a positive vibe and culture throughout. This will suit strong leaders, with a love of music and its wider community in London.


Duties:

  • Oversee daily operations of our on-site bar and manage bar staff
  • Responsible for Fire, H&S and compliance of the site
  • Create and deliver the processes required for a flawless member experience, w
  • Oversee and lead the team to execute on their objectives and areas of ownership
  • Deliver team performance reviews
  • Coordinate execution of all private events, including management of logistics, catering and staffing
  • Take ownership and manage the relationships with all members and be accountable for membership retention
  • Take ownership of achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for your sites
  • Provide input to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Manage credit control for the businesses, ensuring all invoices are paid in time

What we need to see (essential):

  • 3 years minimum venue management experience (restaurants / nightclubs / members clubs / coworking space etc)
  • Previous / demonstratable excellent customer service provision
  • Music industry enthusiast

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Event management experience
  • Previous bar management experience

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
