General Manager - Removals

Our client is one of London's leading shippers of furniture and personal effects to worldwide destinations.

They are a young, vibrant company who are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, articulate, and well-presented individual who will play a pivotal role in the company's continuing growth.

The role based in NW London is for a full-time General Manager to join their busy team.

The main purpose of the role is to lead the Management team in achieving excellent service for customers while and exceeding budget margin performance.

Responsibilities:

• To lead and manage the Management team to achieve revenue, margin, and contribution targets.
• To achieve company conversion targets and budgeted P&L.
• Control cost expenditure whilst delivering a high quality service.
• To drive revenue and brand awareness through business development/account management and move management processes.
• Implementation of service improvement plans.
• Develop and implement plans for increasing enquiries across all products.
• Management of unproductive costs and overhead costs.
• Complete necessary reporting and monthly forecast.
• Development of staff through appropriate training and adherence to our goal tracker process.
• Investigation of claims and complaints
• To ensure full compliance to operating standards, Health & Safety, vehicle legislation and GDPR.

KPI’s:

• Achieve annual Sales budget.
• Reduction in below margin moves.
• Achieve company budgeted gross margin.
• Adherence to ISO/BAR standards
• Adherence to health & safety, vehicle legislation and operating standards.
• Debt management
• Improvement in customer satisfaction levels
