General Manager

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is looking for a full-time General Manager to oversee the commercial and technical performance of our clients Renewable Power Plant in South Yorkshire. The role comes with a favourable salary and benefits package.

In your first few weeks in this General Manager role, you can expect to:

• Provide leadership in safety throughout the company's business, supporting the O&M Contractor, Fuel Supplier and other site-based Contractors to establish industry-leading safe systems of work and safety culture through commissioning and into operations and then to constantly improve on these through the operational phase of the project
• Work with the COO, discharge of the employer's accountabilities under the main plant contracts, including the Grid Connection Agreement and the Permits
• Coordinate the activities of the OTo apply for this General Manager role, you will need significant experience in large-scale process plant operation, ideally power generation or other steam raising plant

To apply for this General Manager role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• An engineering background with relevant training and qualifications
• Experience in managing complex contracts with sophisticated counterparties
• A track record of partnering with contractors to deliver a high performing, joined-up organisation with shared vision and objectives
• Knowledge of environmental permit regulations
