Excellent opportunity for a General Office Manager (Post Room Manager) to join a medium-sized law firm in London. Salary £35-40k plus benefits.

If you have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a General Office Manager (Post Room Manager) or General Office Assistant looking to move up to General Office Manager, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. The role reports to the Facilities Manager and you will be looking after 3 General Office Assistants. Duties include -

  • Inductions for new joiners to the firm
  • Supervising the staff in your team and allocating work
  • Assist the Facilities Manager regarding liaising with suppliers
  • Weekly meetings with Facilities Manager
  • Staff appraisals of team members including performance management and monitoring sickness/absence
  • Act as first point of contact for queries to the department
  • Monitor expenses, check invoices and query with accounts
  • Archiving document files and retrieving from storage
  • Ad hoc tasks such as laminating and binding legal documents, delivering packages internally
  • Distribute post
  • Scan and photocopy documents
  • Arrange couriers
  • Respond to queries
  • Ad hoc duties

You will require at least 3 years' experience in a similar role within a law firm or other professional services. You will also need to have excellent communication skills, be reliable and have a flexible, positive and proactive approach.
