General Operative/Mould Shop

Job Role

Our well-established client based near Corby, Stamford and Oakham, who manufacture products for Bentley, Jaguar and JCB is currently looking for manufacturing staff. You will be required to work in their Assembly Team Dept. putting together parts working with machinery and/or hand tools, as required. Opportunity of a permanent position after successful probationary period.

Job Responsibilities

  • Familiarity with hand tools
  • Follow build instructions and ensure quality standards are met
  • Working in a manufacturing Department
  • Load machinery with parts
  • Manual lifting
  • Able to follow manufacturing and quality procedures and standards


Person Specification

  • Assembly experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
  • Maintain a safe and clean workshop and adhere to safe working practices
  • Good Communication skills
  • Previous skills or qualifications within carpentry, machining or engineering environment would be advantageous but not a necessity as full training will be given - the right blend of a great attitude and willingness to learn just as important.

Hours of Work and Pay

  • £13.80/hr inc shift premium
  • Full training provided
  • Immediate start
  • 37.5 hr week
  • am/pm shifts Monday to Friday 5.30am - 1.30pm - Earlies

Mon to Wed 1.30pm to 11.30pm Thursday 1.30pm to 11.00pm Friday off - Lates.

  • Own transport essential due to location - free on site parking available
  • Overtime available
