Responsibilities

In order to enhance the excellent provision at school we are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our well-established staff. Your task will be to supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of physical and general care and basic classroom management techniques. The role will be to support pupils to access the curriculum working closely with teaching staff to remove any barriers to learning.

Good numeracy, literacy and IT skills are essential. The successful candidate will be skillful in working with young people. Patience, creativity, initiative and desire to learn are essential qualities for this post. The diverse role of the TA requires enthusiasm, commitment, flexibility and ambition for young people.

Requirements:

Level 1/2/3 CACHE

Knowledge of the National Curriculum (2014) and Development matters framework (2021)

Have a flexible, can-do approach

Ensure your CV covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible (all employment breaks must be explained)

Be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and full referencing process

Provide professional references to cover you for at least 12 months within the last 2 years

Have legal right to work in the UK
