About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in West Derbyshire. This is a full-time position starting in September, offering a competitive daily rate of £130-£180 through Career Teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Geography Teacher you would be delivering engaging and effective Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the national curriculum standards
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall academic and extracurricular programs of the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Degree in Geography or a related field
- Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with educational changes and innovations
