Geography Teacher

Academics currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Teacher of Geography to work in one of their partnership Ofsted rated schools of 'Good' in the Staffordshire Moorlands from September 2024.

Our school is looking for a Geography Teacher to cover a leave of absence (4 days a week), from September until the October half-term.

Ideally for this role, you will have experience of teaching both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, and you will have a clear focus on engaging the student's interest in Geography. Our school is well- known for its proud prolonged history and its endorsement that all learners have an identical chance to make good use of the education that the school has to offer.

Whether you have years of experience behind you, or you are at the beginning stages of your teaching career, this role offers an excellent setting to teach in!

For this particular supply role, you will:

• Hold the relevant Geography (or Humanities) teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with an UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
• Have confident communication and motivation skills in the classroom.
• Have strong behaviour management with excellent subject knowledge.
• Be able to adapt quickly within the school and to be a good team player with staff.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
