Academics Ltd are working with an outstanding school in Potters Bar who are looking to appoint a Geography teacher to join them from September 2024 for the autumn term. We are looking to appoint a fully qualified teacher (with QTS) who is passionate about their subject and is a great practitioner with high expectations and good classroom management. This is also a great opportunity for ECT's looking for their first teaching role.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of geographical concepts, a love for teaching, and the ability to inspire students to appreciate the world around them. This position involves teaching Geography to students from KS3 to A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
• Provide additional support to students as needed to help them achieve academic success.
• Stay updated on current geographical research and incorporate new knowledge into teaching practices.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• QTS
• Proven experience teaching Geography.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to use technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
• Passion for geography and a commitment to student success.
