Goods in / out Coordinator

  • Salary: £32-35k
  • Working Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Our client is a sub-contract manufacturing and engineering business based in Basingstoke, UK. They are looking for an experienced Goods in/out coordinator to manage and implement the company's ERP system, work with the stores and procurement departments to progress parts through the business and follow up on quotations.
Job Description:
The Goods in/out coordinator will play an integral role in the business, ensuring that parts are moved through the workshop in a timely manner, liaising with customers, managing the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the business, and ensuring effective management of the company's ERP system. The successful candidate will have the full support of management and the shop floor to ensure customer orders are expedited in a timely manner. This is a hybrid role that involves stock control and purchase orders, along with counting and packing manufactured parts ready to send to customers and suppliers, an example would be to package and send parts to paint/powder coat off site and ensure they are returned on time and then carry out basic quality checks and re-package and distribute out to a customer.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement the company's ERP system.
  • Work with the stores and procurement departments to progress parts through the business.
  • Follow up on quotations.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Manage the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the business.
  • Ensure effective management of the company's Material Resource Planning (MRP) system.
  • Raise work orders.
  • Manage customer accounts.
  • Control stock and materials.
  • Pack and send manufactured parts to customers.

Requirements:

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Knowledge of stock and material control
  • Extensive Goods in/out experience
  • IT skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Positive attitude with a "can do" approach to work.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Administration knowledge
