Graduate ACCA Trainee Accountant - Guildford, Surrey - up to £28k DOE

This Graduate ACCA Trainee Accountant role offers you the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients in various sectors ranging from large technology companies involved in bioscience, games & apps, to sole traders involved in consultancy work and hospitality. Many clients are entrepreneurial companies requiring business advice on setting up in the UK. The Accounts team, currently consisting of a Partner, Senior Manager, Junior Manager and three Accounts Seniors, who together provide services for clients in Turkey, the USA, Europe and Australia as well as the UK of course! This vacancy is now open due to the requirement to expand the team in order to service the growing number of clients.

Graduate ACCA Trainee Accountant main responsibilities:

• Assist with the accounts preparation of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in a junior capacity initially, developing into a semi senior and senior role as the candidate progresses through his/her training
• Assist with preparation of VAT returns
• Assist with basic tax compliance matters
• Work at client premises, gaining awareness of business activities and operations
• Work with Partners and staff to provide a personal, professional service for the benefit of both clients and the firm
• Assist with producing accounts files for Manager/Partner reviews
• Assist with bookkeeping and management accounting assignments as required
• Assist with completing draft corporation and income tax computations

Qualifications and Experience to be considered for the role:

• A degree at 2.2 or above in any Finance related discipline
• IT literate - Ability to use computerised accounting software
• Ideally be able to drive, with own vehicle, or learning to drive

Trainees are expected to attend the office/client premises every day, unless on courses, holiday etc, to fulfil training requirements of the regulatory bodies. Therefore, it is imperative that candidates applying for this role are local to the Guildford area.
