Graduate Business Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to be a key member of the Finance Operational Excellence (FOX) team assisting the Head of Systems Accounting and the Head of FOX manage the day to day operations of running all of the processes which apply to the finance data that our internal and external stakeholders rely upon.

Some of the key tasks will include:

• Management of daily operations;
• Management of the monthly close timetable;
• Oversight of transactional level detail in our data universe;
• Involvement in accounts payable and expense management activities;
• Exposure to change initiatives to help automate processes and help Convex use data and technology to make better decisions;
• Liaison between the various teams involved in the finance close process, including but not limited to: Finance; Data; Ceded, Actuarial and outsourced services.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required:

• The ideal candidate will have business / data analysis skills and be keen to learn and get involved in performing processes
• In addition, the candidate should be able to demonstrate the potential to: apply critical thinking coupled with advanced analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, with business stakeholders.
• Simplify complex concepts, overcome obstacles and drive balanced decision making for action;
• Deploy good judgement in managing competing and conflicting priorities.
• An interest in how Artificial Intelligence can be deployed to real world finance problems would be beneficial.
