We are currently recruiting for a specialist collections, recovery and legal investigations company based in Abergavenny. They have been solving problems for the world’s most established financial institutions, law firms, and private organisations for almost 40 years.

They are seeking a Graduate looking for a career within Debt investigation to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating suspected cases of fraud involving company's commercial activities. This role involves identifying the whereabouts of individuals whilst gathering evidence and tracking the missing funds and/or equipment in question.

You will be the type of person that thrives on getting the job done no matter what it takes. You will be confident on the phone and able to produce a concise written report on your findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trace individuals and companies who need investigating.
  • Utilize various investigative techniques to gather evidence and build strong cases.
  • Analyse financial records, transaction data, social media and other relevant documents to identify discrepancies.
  • Collect and preserve physical and digital evidence in a manner that is admissible in court.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings, including documentation of evidence and investigative steps taken.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including legal, compliance, and finance, to coordinate investigative efforts.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and external auditors as needed.
  • Present findings to senior management and recommend corrective actions and preventive measures.

Key Experience:

  • Experience in investigative field, preferably within a commercial or corporate environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully resolving fraud cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
