My client, a Manufacturing company based in the Stourport area of Worcestershire is looking to recruit a Design and Development Engineer on a Permanent basis.
You will design and develop new products and maintain designs, drawings and product documentation of existing group products.
The main responsibilities associated with this role includes
- Understand new products created and have a good understanding of existing ones
- Adhere to agreed timescales and budgets
- Using AutoCAD/Solidworks on a daily basis to create, draw and contribute concept ideas for new products
- Generate creative ideas/solutions to move products forward
- Arrange manufacture pf prototypes
- Perform product testing
- Create and maintain product documentation
As a suitable candidate you will offer the following
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD/Solidworks
- Lots of experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to get on people at all levels of business
- Be comfortable to visit client sites to understand requirements customer
- There may be some requirements to travel abroad to meet with customers
The salary for this role is up to £32,000
