My client, a specialist, UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant to join a supportive team.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Management, Environmental Science or Civil Engineering and experience completing Flood Risk, Hydrology, GIS or Topography modules throughout their studies.

Candidates are required to have a valid driving license to complete topographic surveys across local sites.

This exciting opportunity will offer the chance to join a supportive Environmental Team, based in South Wales. You will have the opportunity to complete varied projects spanning Flood Risk, Drainage, GIS and Topography for Private Sector Clients, Local Authorities and Housing Developers.

As a Graduate Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete the following technical work including;

Flood Risk Assessments

Flood Consequence Assessments for planning applications for flood zone 1,2 and 3.

Flood Mapping, Property Survey Mapping and Historical Mapping using ArcGIS

Drainage Strategies.

Topographic Surveys and Flood Surveys on site.

You will be required to drive to sites and work from the office a few days a week. Flexible working will be available, following probation.
