My client, a market leading, UK based Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate GIS Technician to join their team of Engineers and Consultants based in Nottingham.

Applicants are required to have a BSc and MSc or PhD in a related discipline including Geographic Information Systems and have experience using ArcGIS or QGIS for mapping.

Candidates are required to have a valid driving licence to attend site visits when required.

As a Graduate GIS Technician you will have the opportunity to complete varied projects spanning flood risk, water supply, water resources and ecological projects for Local Authorities, Water Companies, Private Sector Clients and Housing Developers in the UK and overseas. You will be trained by an experienced team to complete detailed maps using ArcGIS and QGIS.

You will also complete;

-Data manipulation.

-Analyse satellite imagery of terrain maps, flood risk and ecological data.

-Spectral imagery analysis for geospatial proximity analysis, water resources management and land use characterisation.
