SALARY- £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking to take on a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Basingstoke on a permanent basis.
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree / HND / HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Eager to work in a hands-on and varied Engineering role
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD etc.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, plastics, injection moulding, machining etc
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient using MS Office
- Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
- Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
- A background in Manufacture would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Team player
- Eager to train and develop their career in Engineering/Manufacture
The Graduate Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
- Varied technical work covering different areas of Engineering
- Working with test equipment and precision components
- Maintenance and NPI
- Producing technical drawings
- Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs
- Seeing through projects from concept through to completion
- Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
- Opportunities to train in different areas of Engineering and progress up in the company
- Working to procedures and instructions
