Our client a respected Freight Forwarder who have been Trading since 1986 is seeking a Graduate to be trained to help and support the Operations Team at their office in Hertfordshire. Working alongside and being trained/mentored buy the Director, the role is primarily involved with liaising with both clients and suppliers and managing Worldwide Sea Freight Imports and European Road Freight jobs from start to finish. From quotation stage, making bookings, arranging customs clearance, monitoring shipments in transit and processing final invoices and maximising the Gross Profit whilst giving excellent customer service. The main day to day duties will be:

  • Being trained to help support the Operations team in coordinating the day to day Sea Freight imports and European road freight shipments.
  • Completing the necessary export and import customs clearance.
  • Raising job files and all of the appropriate paperwork.
  • Processing the jobs utilising the Azyra software system.
  • Extensive client liaison both written (email) and verbal (telephone).
  • Extensive supplier liaison and negotiation.
  • Internal liaison with the sales team assisting with quotations and service status information.
  • Invoicing jobs on completion.

The successful candidate must have the highest customer service skills and have the ability to build strong relationships. An academic individual with common sense and who has a strong work ethic. Confidence and a charming personality.
