The esteemed local Witney Primary School is seeking to appoint a Graduate Primary School Officer. Could this opportunity be for you? Do you have a passion for supporting children? The successful Graduate Primary School Officer will be supporting young children aged 5-11 with ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia and various other learning disabilities and mental health needs.

This is a fantastic platform for anyone looking to embark on a career in education, as a Psychologist, Counsellor, Therapist and much more thanks to the invaluable hands-on experience you will gain with SEN children and children with mental health needs.

This fulfilling Graduate Primary School Officer involves:

• Job type - Temporary
• Pay - £83.33 - £90 per day (depending on experience)
• Work-life balance working hours - 08:30am - 03:30pm (Monday - Friday - term time only)
• Great transport links to Witney, Vale of White Horse.
• Behaviour monitoring- maintaining the students to preserve a calm learning environment for all in line with the schools guidance.
• 1:1 student support on various subjects on Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2 curriculum from literacy, numeracy and phonics.
• Comply with the Witney based school's policies and procedures, including data protection, health & safety and safeguarding.
• Pastoral care - support to students with tools such as counselling, mentoring and advice

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with children, from afterschool clubs, nurseries or previous Graduate Primary School Officers/teacher assistant roles. Yes it can be tutoring!
• PGCE (desired)
• BA/Bsc 2:1 degree
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or williness to get one prior to the interview stage.
