Graduate Quantity Surveyor
We are currently seeking an ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a Flooring Specialist, based near Orpington. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in surveying/estimating as the successful individual will be supporting an experienced commercial team. Until being able to survey and estimate independently.
Graduate Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits + Role Details- Permanent Position
- Office based - Site travels as required
- Salary: £24k - £32k - Dependent on experience
- Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays
- Reporting To: Senior Estimator/Surveyor
- Working Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
- Preparing detailed and professional quotations for clients
- Sourcing quotes and technical details from suppliers for materials
- Interpreting specifications and measuring drawings
- Pricing variations and site instructions
- Producing and issuing payment notices/invoices
- Developing budgets
- Job costing
- Negotiating with vendors
- Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring all required steps are followed
- General administrative duties
- Full driving license
- A construction related degree, preferably in quantity surveying
- Good communication skills
- Confident and outgoing
- Computer literate
- Good time keeping
- Be able to work as a team or under their own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
