Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Mental Health Needs - Dagenham

Are you a recent Graduate in Psychology, Criminology or Sociology?

Do you have long-term goals within Educational Psychology or any Therapies?

You could be working within a leading specialist Mental Health School in Dagenham. The school are looking for the next generation of educators to work alongside students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and PTSD, alongside other mental needs.

The school cater for Primary and Secondary phase students and possess state of the art facilities for enhancing education for students with additional needs. They have an onsite team of Occupational Therapists, Play Therapists, Art Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists that are looking for assistants to assist with sessions.

This role is perfect for any Graduates looking to gain experience working alongside ASD and Mental Health and who are looking to go onto a career within Psychology.

Job Description - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant - Dagenham

  • Assisting therapy sessions and mentoring behaviour throughout the day.
  • Long-term and permanent contracts available.
  • £95-100 per day (PAYE options available).
  • Working with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and PTSD.
  • Based in Barking and Dagenham.
  • September 2024 start.

  • Recent Graduate, school is open to all disciplines.
  • Calm, empathetic approach to challenging behaviour.
  • Long-term aspirations within education or a psychology field.
  • Willing to gain a Fully Enhanced DBS if not already in possession of one.
  • Able to work well within a team.
