Special Projects Manager | Fast-Growth Sports Foundation | London
The Client:
Harmonic is excited to be working exclusively with a fast-growth sports foundation who is looking for a Special Projects Manager.
This company was founded through the love of football and wanting to make the sport accessible for less advantaged families and players. The company has come a long way, starting with just an idea from the CEO when coaching grassroot teams to now running a team of over 60 sessions that run sessions all throughout London and engaging around 6,000 young kids every single week. These programs help young people to have access to soft skills development, improvements in mental and physical health alongside connecting them through a community that is not discriminated by socioeconomic backgrounds.
The company is currently expanding very fast and is looking for bright, ambitious graduates who are looking to make a real impact and change to communities in London through the love of football. The offices are based in Camden, London and are proud of their non-corporate, fun and innovative culture.
The Role:
The role is the Super Leagues Manager and is looking for someone with managerial experience in order to take lead of a very exciting girls football project. This girls football league is expected to grow rapidly and you will be at the forefront of the growth.
The Duties:
- Manage the league's calendar of fixtures, including referee assignments and allocation of pitch space
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, maintaining regular correspondence with a club leads, venue managers, and county FA colleagues via email, phone, and WhatsApp
- Ensure correct governance of the league (compliance with FA rules & guidelines, implementation of disciplinary procedures and safeguarding policies)
- Line manage the full-time league coordinator and part-time league assistants
- Develop and execute a short and long-term growth strategy for the league
- Oversee league finances, producing budgets and raising invoices
- Utilise the league's impact measurement framework to implement an effective monitoring and evaluation process
What our client would like to see (Essential Experience):
- 2+ years of working in a managerial role.
- Bachelor's degree
- Desire to work in sports or social impact.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in leadership and decision making.
- Ability to take initiative and problem solver.
- Ambitious and a driver within the business who is results orientated.
·Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
